Songyos Sugmakanan achieves a perfect blend between what would be a nostalgic film about the transition from adolescence to youth and a ghost story. It’s something like a mix between Rob Reiner’s “Stand by Me” and Guillermo del Toro’s “The Devil’s Backbone.” With admirable art direction, “Dorm” tells the story of young Chatree’s arrival at a boarding school. There, his classmates will tell him about a terrible incident that happened years ago.
